So, it’s today. My last day of interning with Andaman Discoveries. Andaman Discoveries have taken care of me well and I have learnt a lot from working as a Social Media Promoter. I have been to so many places, meet the most amazing people from the village and the unique Moken people, a lot of first-time experience like snorkeling, eating kanomjeen and their delicious fried dough and there’s just a lot to mention.
I really enjoy every moment of my time here in Thailand. I don’t know what I would do if Nicole didn’t reply to my email the first time I contacted Andaman Discoveries. I was rejected from doing my internship in Bandung, Indonesia in the last minute and only hope Andaman Discoveries have a placement for me. I am really, really grateful for that and it turns out it was the best choice after all.
My first ever batik!
I remember when I first came, I was nervous. I kind of have this mindset that they will put high expectation from me as I come from a media background and that I should know what I am doing. But that mindset soon slip off easily when I get to be more open to them and share my thoughts too. I realized that if we were too tensed at the beginning, it will disturb our entire productivity. So, I didn’t want that.
If I have to pick one special moment of my entire internship, I would say snorkeling in Koh Surin. I have a fear when it comes to swimming and I really want to cast that fear away. It was just amazing to see the sea creatures before me for the first time and that moment still stay fresh in my memory. It was also under my wishlist too! A wonderful experience indeed.
So, here, I want to say my biggest thanks to Andaman Discoveries for giving me the greatest adventure of a lifetime. I had my best moments here and I pray to them all the success in the near future. If anyone would like to go for an adventure, I would totally recommend Andaman Discoveries. They are the BEST!
