Day 1 Natural Wonder (D)

Arrive to the Khao Sok National Park area and bask in the fairy-tale scenery of the vividly coloured limestone mountains that rise sharply above the untouched forests. Check into your jungle accommodations and stay in authentic bungalows located on beautiful forest grounds along the river

Late afternoon around 3 pm Join a local community guide for a canoe trip down a gentle river while floating by towering limestone cliffs to take in the scenery. Stop and enjoy a hot drink from a handmade bamboo cup. or choose The Jungle Style Thai Cooking Visit a local family farm in Khao Sok and experience Thailand culture and food, jungle style! Immerse yourself in the beautiful jungle setting. Learn how to prepare local dishes using bamboo, banana leaves, and fresh herbs from the garden. You can choose whether you want to see how it is done, or go for a full-on cooking lesson. You will make rice in bamboo and the  Thai Curry dish with coconut milk.

Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the local village

Day 2 Khao Sok Local Life (B,L,D)

Enjoy the morning at your own pace, choose to relax or head out for another adventure breakfast at resort

After breakfast, head to the national park for a half day hike, and after lunch, you have a choice of bathing with an elephant, or taking a Thai jungle cooking class from a local village.

Return to the jungle resort for the evening and enjoy another night in the Jungle bungalow

Day 3 Khao Sok Lake Floating Bungalow (B,L,D)

After your breakfast, transfer to the office Takun to store your luggage and then heading to  Rajapraba Dam and Khao Sok (Cheow Larn) Lake. This man-made reservoir is one of outstanding beauty with its towering limestone cliffs and jungle-clad hills

Arrive to the pier at the dam and take a long tail boat ride to visit Gui lin Scenic area for pictures and a swim than Check in to your bungalow

Lunch at Floating bungalow  restaurant then spend the afternoon enjoying the hike with your guide identifying local wildlife on the way

Evening Safari: Board your private long tail boat for an evening safari when the animals are most active

Dinner is served at the floating restaurant and includes an array of Thai dishes

Spend your night in your floating accommodation on the lake, a fairytale experience of unforgettable peace and tranquility.

Day 4 Natural Wonder (B,L,D)

Awake early to catch the best of wildlife viewing in a long-tail boat with your guide.  Watch the hornbills fly in the mist rising against a backdrop of colourful limestone cliffs and try to catch a glimpse of the gibbons swinging in the tree tops.

Have a choice of western or Thai breakfast at the lake house restaurant.  In the morning have free time and unwind, spend time swimming or kayaking

Lunch at floating bungalow after that Long Hike: Go on a private guided hike in the worlds’ oldest forest, based on your guide’s recommendation of trail

Dinner : enjoy Thai dinner made of local ingredients in the superior floating bungalow restaurant

Overnight: floating bungalows on Khao Sok Lake, meals and activity included

Day 5 Morning Mist (B,L)

Morning Mist Boat Safari: Catch the mist drifting along the water and jungle as you search for wildlife and watch the day bloom on the lake

Breakfast : Enjoy Khao Tom a savoury rice porridge or western style pancake at floating bungalow

Free time : for relaxing, swimming or kayaking

Lunch: Traditional Thai Lunch served lakeside

Boat back to the pier: Say goodbye to your superior floating Bungalows and board your private long tail boat headed back to the pier

Return to the tour office: to collect excess baggage and transfer to your next destination, End of Program.

The Lake Tour Khao Sok and the Khao Sok floating bungalows are in a remote location. Of course that is a big attraction and it is an amazing place to visit. However there are things you should understand before visiting the Khao Sok floating bungalows on the Lake Tour Khao Sok. With this information you will have a great trip

Lake Tour Khao Sok – Know before you go

1. The Lake is a wildernesswith changing environmental conditions, so be ready to sacrifice some convenience and comfort. The weather can change quickly, from sunny to rainy and back again. This can create delays and change the itinerary if necessary. The remote location also makes medical care difficult, as it takes at least one hour to reach the hospital from the Khao Sok floating bungalows. Please remember these factors when considering the ‘Lake Tour Khao Sok’. This is especially true if you want to participate in activities such as hiking.
2. Lake tour Khao Sok Group Size:You will join a group of 10-14 people of different abilities and ages. Thus, please help your guide stick to the schedule by being on time. The Lake is now very popular with Thai and foreign tourists alike. This means more noise and more people, particularly on weekends on holidays.
3. Tour Operator:Often, we use our partners at the Khaosok and lake tour. However, if we have less than 8 guests signed up, you may join with a group that is organised by a Local Outfitter. The Local Outfitter for lake tours uses guides from Khao Sok. They have less English and hospitality experience than many other places.
4. Jungle Trek:The tour includes a jungle trek that is moderately strenuous. The specific route changes with the time of year. It may involve wading across a river, and also walking through or entering a cave. One route requires a short, rope-assisted climb. Please consider your personal fitness level. The hike is optional, and if you opt out, you can relax at the raft house. If you experience mobility issues, or are physically unfit, please do not go on the jungle hike.  We also recommend that children 10 and under do not go on the hike.

Khao Sok Floating Bungalows:

If you are staying overnight the Khao Sok floating bungalows are very basic accommodation. You will share bathrooms. Each room has a thin mattresses, woven bamboo walls, and electricity for a few hours at night. Your bungalow may or may not have a mosquito net, as mosquitoes cannot live on the lake water.

On the plus side you will enjoy an amazing and unique experience. Sleeping on the water with your morning dip just a few steps away. Restaurants serve great food and drinks and you will be completely surrounded by nature.

Day 1: ARRIVAL (D)

Arrive at Riverside Cottages, check in to your room and soak up the jungle atmosphere. In the afternoon, explore the Khao Sok river with a guided canoe trip or river tubing adventure where you can relax and look for birds and monkeys in the afternoon sun. Alternately, if you want to take it easy, choose a one hour Thai massage instead.

Spend the late afternoon swimming in the river, relaxing on the sandy bank, or enjoying the view from your wooden deck.

Day 2: NATURAL WONDER (B,L)

Your Khao Sok package tour continues on day 2. After a sound sleep, wake up to the sounds of forest birds chirping and gibbons singing on the mountaintops. After a delicious breakfast, get to know the jungle with a half day hike in the National Park. If you prefer not to go trekking, head to the hot springs for a relaxing bath in the naturally heated water.

You can stop at a beautiful viewpoint along the way. Return to the resort to check out of your room by 12pm. Finally, relax at the resort until you head to your next destination.
