3 E/S Introductions (Greetings) Pairs Ss and ask them to practice introductions with their neighbor. Monitor and correct.  Ss practice introductions with their partner. None 10 min
4 A Introductions (Greetings) Models introductions with each other again. Ask Ss to stand up and mingle. Responds.     10 min
5 A Introductions (Greetings) Tell Ss to open their name card. Inside there is another name (their buddy). Elicit “buddy.” Model with Helen. When Ss find and greet their buddy they can sit down. [1] Responds Namecards 5 min

NOTES:
[1] This introduces the “buddy system.”  Buddies were pre-determined, pairing the strongest with the weakest (based on ACE interview score) Ss. Average Ss also paired together. These pairs will work together whenever pair-work is assigned.

[2] Hands out BINGO cards to groups. Hands out number cards to Ss. Ss calls out number; teams cross off number on card. First team to cross off all numbers wins.

Postmortem
Team teaching may have been confusing for students, but overall it was a good introduction to both of us and our teaching styles.  The lesson went way too quickly; we were astonished at how much they got through in a short space of time.
