Andaman Discoveries offers a variety of activities to suit all tastes. A translator will be with you throughout the day to ensure that you can truly engage with the people that you meet while in village. For eco-enthusiasts, get into the jungle for a hike, wildlife lovers will enjoy paddling through lush mangrove forests, handicraft fans can try their hand at making soaps and everyone, no matter what their age will enjoy the warmth, hospitality and kindness of the villagers.

We've been working with the villagers since the tsunami on our tour programs and have created itineraries and support materials to help you make the most of your time. Villagers love welcoming people from all over the world into their village and are keen to share their lives and fascinating stories with their guests.
We provide an authentic cultural experience in a safe and supportive environment. You can even learn a few phrases while in village thanks to our comprehensive (and free) Thai Phrasebook, bound using recycled paper from the tsunami-craft paper group, Tsunami Crafts Cooperative.
The villagers are also a source of inspiration, as they have rebuilt their lives after the tsunami. By being in village you are directly contributing to their long-term vision of using community-based tourism as a way to reduce the pressure on their natural resources and to allow fish populations to recover.

One highlight of the day will be joining a Thai family for lunch, eating traditional Thai favorites, cooked by the professionals themselves, the women of the village. With no restaurant in town, you'll taste Thai cuisine that rivals any five-star restaurant, using fresh local ingredients and local knowledge. Don't like spicy food? Vegetarian? Don't eat seafood? Don't worry, just let a member of staff know your dietary requirements as we cater to all needs, but do be willing to try new things!
