"Working with Andaman Discoveries-NATR has been an amazing experience. The amount of pre-departure correspondence from their staff enabled the students' nerves to settle a bit ... although they had no idea what life changing adventures would be coming their way! Additionally, the opportunity to take part in various development projects with the appropriate measures taken into consideration, for example issues with sustainability as well as community participation, will leave a lasting impression with these students. Without hesitation we can say that the experience of working with NATR far exceeded any possible expectation we had set. Thank you for all your amazing work in the region while further allowing us this opportunity of insight and inspiration."

We offer educational and community service trip to schools, universities and educational institutes for students of all ages and abilities. We believe that experience is the best teacher and organize' hands on' student centered, discovery learning activities - led by a team of trained International and Thai staff.

Trips are suitable for the International Baccalaureate CAS (Creativity Action and Service) credit accumulation system.

Creativity: Interactive workshops to make handmade natural soaps, tie dye material, Batik prints and recycled gift cards. Local schools encourage international students to organize and participate in creative workshops.

Action: Southern Thailand boasts two of the world's oldest ecosystems, the jungle and coral reefs. Snorkeling at the world-famous Koh Surin National Park, is a favorite activity. The area also has extensive mangroves forests, towering waterfalls, lush jungles perfect for exploring and understanding the relationship between natural resources and human activity.

Service: Community service projects in and around village are extensive and range from organizing sport camps or fun games for rural children, helping on a youth environmental project, beach clearance, mangrove restoration as well as coastal and marine monitoring.

During their time with us, students will live, learn, work, enjoy and discover together in a safe and supportive environment. Activities are designed to encourage self-awareness, leadership, team-building skills and critical thinking skills.

Being out of the classroom but engaged in educational yet fun activities allows students to understand the interrelationships between culture, nature and human activity. We are committed to education for sustainability and all activities are carefully designed to encourage reflection, critical thinking and group collaboration.

By helping students recognize the links between human activity and the environment, we encourage local, regional and global citizenship. Understanding and respecting the world helps students to realize their place and responsibility to reduce their impact on the environment.

Comfort zones will certainly be tested and give students the opportunity to re-assess their acceptance levels. Frequently, the favorite part of many students' trips is overcoming personal challenges from getting muddy to trying new food.

Andaman Discoveries offers pre-trip project work to prepare and engage students for their time in Thailand.
