Community Benefits
The villagers that you meet during your stay — including the guides, host families, handicraft cooperatives and our own staff — receive fair wages as stipulated by the Community-based Tourism Committee of the village. Eighty per cent of the overall price of each trip is invested back into the community.
Community Fund
Twenty per cent of the price of each trip is allocated to the Community Fund to ensure that all villagers benefit from tours in their community. The Community Fund is dedicated to projects that serve the betterment of the community and its environment.
Prices
Our prices have been fixed in Thai Baht. Prices in US Dollars, Australian Dollars, Euros and Pounds are subject for change depending on exchange rate. Prices correct at time of calculation according to www.xe.com.
Value Added Tax
The seven per cent compulsory Value Added Tax (VAT) is included in the price but is easily refundable at the airport before your flight back home.
Extra fee for Single Travelers
Prices are calculated on two persons. Single person trips are possible, however, they are more expensive.
Deposit
We ask you to pay a deposit of 30 per cent of the overall price at least one month before the start of your trip. Andaman Discoveries will send you an email confirmation once payment has been received. This email is the proof of our contract agreement. Full payment is required at least two weeks before the start of your trip.
Late Bookings
Any booking made two weeks or less before the start of the trip will require payment in full.
Walk-in Visitors
Walk-in visitors will be required to pay the full amount before the start of the trip. Please note that bookings have to be made at least 24 hours before the trip, unless otherwise started.
Payment Options
Payment can be made online, however this will involve a small fee which will need to be added on to the total cost of your trip. Alternatively, please make a transfer into the following Thai bank account.

Cancellations and No-Shows
It's important we maintain a good relationship with villagers and you can help us do this, by letting us know of any changes in travel plans. Villagers do have to buy supplies and make arrangements for your trip, so if for some reason you can not come, please let us know as soon as possible. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the trip has to be cancelled, the money will be donated to the Community Fund to compensate the villagers for the inconvenience.
Thereafter we apply the following cancellation policy:

The 30 per cent deposit will be donated to the Community Fund if cancellation is made two weeks after the start of the trip. |

Eighty per cent of the amount paid will be donated to the Community Fund and 20 per cent will be used to cover Andaman Discovery administration costs if cancellation is announced less than two weeks before the start of the trip. |

No-shows: The full amount will be retained, and distributed as above. |
Modifications
If you want to change the dates of your stay, please let us know at least a week before the start of your trip.
Activities are subject to change depending on weather conditions, tides and seasons. Andaman Discoveries and villagers will do their best to ensure that tour programs run according to plan. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, your tour program or activity has to be changed, an alternative will be offered.
The itineraries provided in advance will give you an indication of what to expect. An assessment of weather and sea conditions may result in having to make alterations to the itinerary, please understand that these are to ensure your safety and comfort during the trip.
Travel insurance
Please make sure that you are covered with travel insurance before the start of your trip. If not, Andaman Discoveries can provide local travel insurance for groups upon prepayment. Please note that it won't be possible to refund or modify such insurance.
Visa
Please do check that you have a valid visa for the duration of your trip.
