The shortest walk is only 1 km to reach a small pool area great for swimming and exploring. Venture a bit further and you will reach a small waterfall with large rocks to climb and jump from. For the most adventurous, there is long hike through the jungle up to the ‘7 pools’ which offers seven tiers of waterfalls and cool water pools perfect for swimming and exploring. This hike is best done with a local guide or park ranger, which can be arranged by Andaman Discoveries.

Thai Water Lily
Kuraburi is home to a rare species of water lily, Crinum thaianum. It’s common name is the Thai Onion plant or Water onion, and is an emergent plant species endemic to coastal plain of southern Thailand in Ranong and Phang Nga Provinces. During the months from October until January, this plant is in bloom in different conservation areas around town. Bike tours to see the plant and tubing rides down the river offer opportunities to encounter this rare species first hand.
If you’re in an athletic mood and want more adventures, you can explore the mangroves with a trail hike or bike ride. The mangroves are an amazing natural resource where visitors can often encounter mudskippers, macaque monkeys, fiddler crabs, and kingfishers. If you’re up for it, you can get even closer with a kayak journey. Be sure to bring your camera!
Around 18 km north from Kuraburi there is a beach called Ao Kuei. This is the easiest beach to access and is still very nature with little development. Pack a picnic lunch or late evening snack and head to the beach for an amazing Andaman Sunset.
