Discover a different side of Thailand, a world away from the touristy areas of Phuket or Koh Samui. Just a few hours from Phuket and Khao Lak, villagers invite you into their lives to experience their traditional culture and diverse eco-systems in an authentic and non-intrusive way. We offer eco-tours, cultural tours, interactive handicraft workshops, and volunteer placements, even for those with limited time.

Explore diverse, pristine eco-systems; take a traditional long-tail boat through dense mangrove forests; hike through lush rainforests that are alive with the sounds of exotic wildlife; snorkel in clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life; or simply soak up the sun on a deserted island all to yourself.

At the end of a busy day, you may find yourself playing football with the locals on the beach, helping the villagers to prepare dinner or soaking up a stunning sunset against the background of pristine islands. You can do as much or as little as you want.

Throughout your trip you'll be accompanied by a translator to ensure that you truly engage with the Thais that you meet. However, our comprehensive Visitor's Guide and Thai Phrasebook provide a fun way to interact with the locals. Our International-Thai speaking staff and local staff provide support and assistance to ensure you make the most of your time in the region. We can also help organize transfers and accommodation in the region to make it as easy as possible for you.

This undiscovered part of Thailand will captivate visitors who wish to learn about traditional ways of life and who want to contribute to the conservation of this outstanding natural environment. Your involvement will help protect the traditional cultures of the North Andaman from the ever-present threat of mass tourism and assist with the long-term economic rehabilitation of the region left devastated by the tsunami of 2004.

Andaman Discoveries is featured in the Rough Guide, Lonely Planet, National Geographic Traveler, Natural Guide, and Beach Huts in Thailand (Denmark). We're also part of the responsibletravel.com network, as well as the Conservation International Community-Based Tourism Program to support and promote community based tourism ventures that offer significant conservation and development benefits to local communities.
