As a Guest of Andaman Discoveries, you are directly supporting projects of our North Andaman Network Foundation. Fifty percent of Andaman Discoveries profits are given back to the NAN foundation and also donations that rebuilt into the program pricing. These projects make a difference in the lives of our local community projects and community members because they are things that are valued by these people as a way to have better lives.

Take a look at how you have helped by participating in an Andaman Discoveries Program:

Eight Moken kids were given scholarships to continue their education beyond the 5th grade. If you would like to contribute to this cause, click here.

Moken woman getting surgery from NAN Foundation donations

Pi Noi

Medical support was provided for the elderly Moken on Koh Surin Island and in Chai Patanna Village. This includes medical checkups if problems arise and follow up treatments if needed. NAN has also provided ongoing medical care for Pi Noi, a very special Moklan woman who lives on the island of Koh Phra Thong in Tung Dap Village. She underwent valve replacement surgery for her heart and continues to need follow up treatment. She is one with nature and is keen on keeping and sharing her traditional Moklan way of life alive with the youth in her village and guests of Andaman Discoveries. The Moken Tourism Group on Surin Islands was able to repair their motor for the traditional “Kabang” houseboat, which is used to share their culture with respectful guests. The Moken Tourism Team guides hosted enough guests through Andaman Discoveries this year to have made a working salary, thus being able to provide for their families better. Burmese Learning Center NAN foundation cause

Burmese school kids

Volunteers at the Burmese Learning Center directly supported the operating costs of the center as a donation is built into the volunteer program price. These donations are vital in the continuation of the center and future education of the Burmese Children. If you would like to contribute to this cause, click here.

Sustainable development cause of NAN foundation

Lung Luan

In Kuraburi, we support a local project run by a man named Lung (uncle) Luan, who has taken it upon himself to create a conservation center for the endangered water lilies. He enjoys sharing his knowledge with the youth in the community and educating them about conservation. We helped to purchase new signs so that he could promote his water lily conservation project in the local area and spread the information about the water lilies.  If you would like to contribute to this cause, click here.
